The GT Kids Preteens Coordinator is tasked with recruiting and equipping volunteers to help kids (grades 4th - 6th) develop authentic relationships with Jesus by implementing programming, leadership development, and team building. This part-time role (20 hours per week) will facilitate the relational connection and spiritual growth of kids through weekend programs, environments, and special events.
- Recruit, train, develop and empower GT Preteens Volunteer Teams
- Provide weekly communication to volunteer teams (vision, curriculum, upcoming events, volunteer schedules, etc.).
- Implement small group programming, prep and leadership to GT Preteens on Sunday Mornings and Wednesday Nights for Preteens (4th-6th).
- Implement large group programming content (schedule communicators and worship teams, environment & props) on Sunday Mornings to create a dynamic environment for Preteens (4th-6th).
- Lead huddle with all volunteers 30 minutes prior to all services/events
- Meet quarterly with team coaches and coordinators to cast vision, communicate upcoming events, and provide opportunities for collaboration.
- Coordinate with the kids team to execute ministry-wide volunteer appreciations (Christmas / We LOVE our Volunteers/Graduations).
Qualifications
- Experience in public speaking and ability to coach others in public speaking / storytelling
- Experience in building, developing and leading successful volunteer teams
- Dynamic and proven team-player and team-builder who is passionate about partnering with families to connect them to the life of the church
- Displays a positive, fun, and energetic attitude that supports the vision and values of kids ministry at GT church
