GT Kids Small Groups Coordinator

The GT Kids Small Group Coordinator is tasked with recruiting and equipping volunteers to create an irresistible small group environment for children (K-6th) through programming, leadership development, and team building, while positively impacting children and families to have an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. This role is part-time, approximately 20-25 hours/week.


  • Recruit, train, develop, and empower GT Kids Volunteer Teams
  • Provide weekly communication to volunteers
  • Plan and execute volunteer appreciation and team-building events
  • Implement small group programming, prep and leadership to GT Kids on Sunday Mornings and Wednesday Nights for Elementary (K-3rd) and Preteens (4th-6th)
  • Oversee and implement a mission strategy
  • Partner with Parents through relationships (1:1 conversation, Parent Coffee Talks and resources such as: Godtime cards, ParentCue, Parent Resource Wall, etc.
  • Provide 2nd service care for elementary and preteens (Kinder - 6th) (Kids Club) for parents that serve
  • Partner with families impacted by special needs by providing a safe environment for elementary and preteens (Kinder - 6th) by providing inclusive tactics to volunteers
  • Implement GT Kids transition strategy (Preschool-Elementary; Elementary-Preteen and Preteen - Middle School) to help kids (& families) move to what’s next
  • Collaborate with GT Kids Team to plan and execute special GT Kids events and Community Outreaches (Pajama Jam, Easter Experience, KidVentures, Summer Series, Kid Jams, GT Kids Pick Up Events, Open House, Glow in the Dark
  • Implement small group curriculum to partner with parents to equip them to help their kids take their next steps toward Christ (Salvation, Baptism Bash)

  • Displays a positive, fun, and energetic attitude that supports the vision and values of kids ministry at GT church
  • Experience in building, developing and leading successful volunteer teams
  • Strong organizational management skills and the ability to lead with excellence
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Availability for team meetings (weekly on Mondays), evening and weekend hours
